Club West Show n Shine – Rural Fire Service Fundraiser

My ever-supportive and amazing wife Shae and myself took my 1925 Ford Model T along to the inaugural Club West Show n Shine today, raising funds for the Kundle/Moto Rural Fire Service, weather was rather windy, but at least it didn’t rain!!

There were approximately thirty-five cars all told, and about 10 motorbikes. Only one or two others besides myself were at the show from our club, as it was the inaugural show, and also since it clashed with at least two other shows on the same day, including the Mount George Public School birthday celebrations, and I understand there was also a show on at Killabakh.

The RFS put on a sausage sizzle for lunch, and the local kids were invited to play with the fire hoses on the fire truck which was on display – much to their enjoyment!

The Rural Fire Service NSW plans to make this show an annual event, with sponsors already lined up for next year’s event, and hopefully a larger selection of categories.

On the way home in the Model T, Shae held my phone with a Speedometer app running, and I achieved a new record top speed! 64km/h 🙂 … yes alright it was down hill… with a tail wind!

Ford Model T – Motoring over Mount Chiliad (Grand Theft Auto V)

You may have seen an earlier video I published, originally filmed in 1911, showing a 1910 Ford Model T conquering Ben Nevis in Scotland. Using a beautifully detailed modification to the well known computer game Grand Theft Auto 5, in the form of a 1910 Ford Model T touring car, I’ve attempted to recreate this epic mountain climb (albeit on a computer and with the absence of snow!!).

Mount Chiliad in the game is based on Mount Shasta in California.

The only thing really wrong with the in-game Model T is the ridiculously high top-speed, and the decidedly V8 sounding engine!!

Don’t forget to Subscribe on YouTube 🙂

How to Start a Ford Model T in Cold Weather

So I thought it was about time I published a video on the age-old trick to starting a Model T Ford in cold weather conditions.

It was about 7 degrees Celsius (about 44 degrees Fahrenheit) when I recorded this video, with a completely cold engine; not previously started that day – enjoy the video 🙂

FordModelT.net goes mobile (update)

Thanks for the comments everyone, I’ve done an upgrade since that screenshot was taken, there’s now a new, easier to use menu system, with the familiar “three dash” menu button at the top left of the screen, and it appears on every page, so there’s no need to return to the home page to get to the menu.

Simply access the site from your iPhone, Windows Phone or Android smart phone to view the mobile version.

If you can’t get it to work, simply enter the mobile URL: (Might look funny on a computer or tablet)

Let me know what you think guys…
